Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is attending the festival as an Indian delegate to receive an honour for the country will be celebrating his birthday at the Cannes Film Festival once again. He has done it earlier in 2012 for ‘Miss Lovely’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, Later for his 2013 releases ‘Monsoon Shootout’, ‘The Lunchbox’, and ‘Bombay Talkies’. In the year 2016, he was here for ‘Raman Raghav’. Once again in 2018 for Manto. This year too, the actor is present at Cannes 2022 on the occasion of his birthday.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Nawazuddin said, “Representing India is always special. Be it on my birthday or any other day. I have spent five-six of my birthdays at Cannes as it’s been held around the same time every year. I am not a person who celebrates birthdays as such. It’s just like a normal day.”
On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, ‘Noorani Chehra’, and ‘Adbhut’.
