Nawazuddin Siddiqui travelled from Mumbai to his hometown Budhana in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The actor acquired necessary permissions from the authorities to travel amidst the nation-wide lockdown. The actor and his family underwent tests for Coronavirus and they all have tested negative. However, as a precautionary measure, he will be in-home quarantine with his family for the next two weeks.
The actor took to his Twitter handle to assure his fans and well-wishers that he is safe.
As per a PTI report, Nawaz and his immediate family travelled in his private vehicle. After medical screening, as per the guidelines by the government, the actors’ entire family has been asked to practise home-quarantine. Taking to the micro-blogging site, the ‘Manto’ actor assured his well-wishers that he is doing fine.
“Due to the recent loss of my younger sister, my mother who is 71yrs old got an anxiety attack twice. We have followed all the guidelines given by the State Government. We are #HomeQuarantined at our hometown Budhana. Please #StaySafe #StayHome,” he tweeted.

For the unversed, in December last year, Nawaz’s younger sister Syama Tamshi Siddiqui passed away at the age of 26. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 18.

The PTI report also stated that since there had been a death in the actor’s family some months ago, so this year Eid will be a time of mourning for his family. The actor’s brother Ayazuddin was quoted saying by the agency as, “Because of coronavirus, there’s not much work. So, he thought it’s festival time and also our sister died four months ago, so, for that, it was necessary for him to come home. He thought he’ll bless his younger brothers as well.”
On the work front, Nawaz will be next seen in ‘Ghoomketu’, which is all set for its digital release on May 22.
