Nawazuddin-starrer ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ not leaked online

There were reports that Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ has been leaked online and the links were doing the rounds of the social media. However, the director of the movie, Kushan Nandy has denied the reports.

The director told Pinkvilla, “There is no truth to this. It’s a rumour. ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ has not been leaked. The only way you will see it is in the theatres on 25th August.”

Well, we are sure that the reports of film being leaked must have given a shock to the makers.

The movie has been in news for its tiff with CBFC. The film, which also stars Bidita Bag, was given 48 cuts by CBFC, but later it was passed by Tribunal with just 10 voluntary cuts. (Also Read: ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’: When Bidita insisted on retakes for the kissing scene)

The movie has a few intimate scenes between Nawaz and Bidita, and the latter had recently stated, “I was (quite) uncomfortable before reading the script or signing the film. After the shoot began, I was not uncomfortable. May be because I had full faith in the script and director. Even Nawazuddin is someone, who will not take risks in his career and won’t spoil his image by just doing steamy hot scenes. He knows what he is doing.”

“Any sensible director will know that it is a part of the character I am playing, and I am not an actress who is doing a bold scene for the sake of it. Doing such scenes is not that easy and it requires certain talent as well,” she added.

We quite agree with Bidita.
