Nayanthara to play this character in Atlee’s next with Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan had recently put all his projects on a temporary pause due to a personal life crisis. One of them is his film with ace South filmmaker Atlee. Actress Nayanthara who was roped in to play the female lead in the movie had reportedly called it quits. The reason, as she had to honour her other commitments. But looks like the reports were misleading as the Lady superstar is very much a part of the SRK and Atlee collaboration.

As reported by sources to Bollywood Hungama, “Nayanthara is still very much a part of the film. She has not quit. Nobody knows why the media wrote stories like that and tried to hit an already stressed human being. It was done in a bad taste.”

Sources added, “Nayanthara plays an investigating officer in Atlee’s next. Yes, Shah Rukh Khan plays a dual role – of the father and the son. The movie’s premise is about this one man (played by SRK) who leads a group of wrongly accused female jail mates (played by Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and others) and turns them into a group of vigilantes fighting against social evils. It’s very similar to Money Heist but in a much more Indianised fashion. Nayanthara plays the top cop investigating the case and it’s her versus Shah Rukh in the film, but they also play love interests.”

Looks like it will be Shah Rukh Khan vs Nayanthara in Atlee’s next, and the cherry on top is that the two will be seen romantically paired in the film. It seems to be an interesting plot. However, there is no official confirmation of the same as yet.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s Pathan with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
