Sushant Singh Rajput Case: NCB’s chargesheet says Rhea Chakraborty procured & supplied drugs to the late actor

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has submitted a chargesheet in the drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Reportedly, charges of illicit trafficking and harbouring offenders have been invoked against Sushant’s former girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty by the central agency.

These charges fall under Section 27A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act which leads to at least 10 to 20 years of imprisonment. Among other claims, many were accused of “illicit trafficking and harbouring of offenders” under section 27A of the NDPS Act. According to the central agency, Rhea had given her consent to the delivery of drugs at her residence back in November 2019 and also financed the illicit trafficking of drugs.

According to a report by Times of India, in NCB’s chargesheet, among other accused are Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty and film executive producer Kshitij Prasad. Showik has been accused of procuring drugs for the late actor. Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades’ brother Agisilaos Demetriades has also been named in the chargesheet. The chargesheet is of around 70,000 pages out of which 50,000 are in digital format and it included statements from 200 witnesses in relation to SSR’s death case.

Meanwhile, some reports claim that statement by Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan will also be part of this chargesheet. These actresses were also questioned by the NCB in relation to the drug probe linked to Sushant’s death case.
