Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) Deputy Director KPS Malhotra has tested positive for Coronavirus. Malhotra was the member of the team who interrogated Deepika Padukone in the drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
Deepika Padukone and several other actresses like Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh were summoned by the NCB last month for questioning. According to a Times of India report, while Deepika was grilled, KPS Malhotra was also present at the NCB guest house. Now it has to be seen if the actress also gets herself tested, following the Malhotra’s diagnosis.

Deepika’s name cropped up in the case when her alleged chat with manager Karishma Prakash came under the NCB scanner. Reportedly, during the interrogation, the ‘Piku’ actress admitted the chats however she denied consuming any drugs. Apparently, Sara and Shraddha too have denied consuming drugs and NCB is yet to summon any other B-town stars in connection with this drugs probe.
Meanwhile, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in their report to CBI has ruled out murder theory in Sushant’s death. The forensic team has stated in their report that Sushant indeed died by suicide.

However, Sushant’s family has dismissed this report and now their hopes are pinned on CBI’s statement and further course of action. Whereas, Sushant’s fans are protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
