Salman Khan

Once again, Salman Khan has been surrounded by a controversy which does not seem to die down soon. He is currently promoting his much-awaited film ‘Sultan’ and unfortunately, at one recent promotional interaction, he made a statement that he regrets. We all know that he has put in a lot of physical effort in becoming a wrestler for his film, but he compared his pain and misery to that of a raped woman and this has not gone down well with the audience.

Social media has gone berserk criticising Salman for his insensitive comment. Though Salman was quick enough to realise that he shouldn’t have made that statement, Twitteratis do not seem to calm down. Further, we have now learnt that the National Commission for Woman (NCW) has demanded an apology from Salman Khan for his statement. Failing to do so, NCW authorities will take a legal action against Salman. NCW Chief, Lalitha Akumaramangalam was quoted saying, “We have sent a letter to Salman Khan, if we are not satisfied by his reply we will summon him.”

We are now waiting for an update from Salman’s side. Meanwhile, here’s the entire quote of Salman Khan that created such an uproar…

“While shooting, during those six hours, there’d be so much of lifting and thrusting on the ground involved. That was tough for me because if I was lifting, I’d have to lift the same 120-kilo guy 10 times for 10 different angles. And likewise, get thrown that many times on the ground. This act is not repeated that many times in the real fights in the ring. When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight. I would eat and then, head right back to training. That couldn’t stop.”
