Neelima Azeem was last seen in the Konkana Sen and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Dolly Kitty aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. She was widely applauded for her performance and her younger son Ishaan Khatter was moved to tears. Well, Neelima was to make her Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah. The movie starred Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt. But it was shelved in August 2019.
Talking about Inshallah being shelved, Neelima told Bollywood Bubble in an exclusive interview, “It didn’t come about. So it’s alright. Well, you know what is meant to be will happen. I do believe that I am I such a beautiful place in my life today. How beautifully Shahid puts it that ‘hum bohot sunheri jagah meh hai’, ‘We are in a golden place’, he says.”
She further added, “So I do believe that I will attract all the good stuff to myself. Because I am so happy inside and internally so peaceful and content with my life that whatever as an artist I should get now, I do believe I will. When the time is right I’m sure, all will be well. I will be seen more and I will do more which is more exciting. Because the process is very exciting just to go back on a set, sit in your vanity or room and start getting ready for the character that you have to play; that itself is like a child getting ready to go play cricket or fly kites, its the same kind of joy.”
Further talking about her comeback, Neelima said, “I’m looking forward to doing a lot of interesting work as an actress and as a dancer, I do plan to do a lot.”
