Neena Gupta is paving a new way through cinema and she is one of the most talented actresses we have in Bollywood. She has proved that age is just a number, not just in her career but also when it comes to getting married as she tied the knot when she was 50 with chartered accountant Vivek Mehra. Neena fell in love with Vivek when she was 42 and the couple got hitched in 2008.
Talking about how she broke the news to her daughter Masaba that she wanted to get married, she said, “Frankly, I didn’t have to tell her. Vivek and I were going around for 8/10 years; he used to come down to my house in Mumbai and I often used to go to Delhi. But yes, precisely speaking, when I told Masaba that I want to get married, she wanted to know why. I told her that marriage is important if you have to live in this society else you don’t get respect.”

Talking about Masaba’s reaction, Neena said, “Masaba understood me. Masaba is one person who will do anything for her mother’s happiness whether she likes it or not. So, I was not worried. I was just feeling a bit awkward in telling her that.”
