Neena Gupta on daughter Masaba Gupta’s divorce: I was devastated when I heard it

Neena Gupta is a single mother. Naturally, the news of her only child Masaba Gupta’s divorce has left her shocked. The veteran actress recently opened up about Masaba’s decision to end her marriage with producer Madhu Mantena. The ‘Badhaai Ho’ actress revealed that she was devastated after hearing about her daughter’s divorce.

Revealing how she felt after knowing Masaba’s decision, Neena Gupta told Pinkvilla, “I was devastated when I heard it. Actually, it was Masaba who helped me come to terms with it. Initially, I couldn’t accept it at all and it affected me.”

Masaba and Madhu were granted divorce in September last year. The couple had tied the knot in June 2015 in a court marriage. After three years of marriage, Masaba and Madhu announced their decision to separate mutually. They had even requested everyone to respect their privacy during their trial separation.

However, later they decided to file for divorce by mutual consent.

Neena had Masaba with former West Indies cricketer Viv Richards. The veteran actress has several times opened up about her struggle of raising Masaba as a single parent. She recently even went on to advise her fans that one should never get involved with married men.
