KWK 8: Neetu Kapoor reveals she didn’t attend wild parties in her earlier days, ‘I had a strict boyfriend like Rishi Kapoor’

Neetu Kapoor recently appeared on Koffee With Karan 8 where she made candid confessions about her late husband Rishi Kapoor, her career, Raha Kapoor, and much more. The actress took a trip down memory lane and shared how shooting in the 70s was altogether a different time. She also spilled beans about the so-called ‘party culture’ and why she was never a part of it as Rishi Kapoor was a strict boyfriend.

Karan Johar asked the actress about crazy incidents that took place on the sets during 70s. He recalled Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor arriving late on Kabhi Kabhie sets as they partied all night. Talking about how parties were at that time, Neetu Ji recalled, “We had a fabulous time, especially with Yash ji (Chopra). We would party in the night, play antakshari, play dumb charades. So, that was like one picnic. That was really-really fun. But I had this Rishi Kapoor as my boyfriend. So, I never partied-partied. Because he was always like, yeh nahi karna, woh nahi karna, ghar aajao. So, I’ve never seen that wild side of partying in those days.”

She added, “I was committed and I had a very strict mother and a very strict boyfriend. So, I was torn between both of them.”

Apart from this, she also opened up about spending time with Rishi Kapoor in New York during his treatment for Leukemia. Apart from this, the Jugjugg Jeeyo actress also gushed over grandchild Raha and shared why she does not want Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to have any quality of her married life.
