Neetu Kapoor reveals when did Rishi Kapoor want Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to get married

Neetu Kapoor is all set to make a power-packed acting comeback on the big screen next Friday with JugJugg Jeeyo alongside Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani. The charming actress mesmerised everyone with the trailer of the film and people have been waiting eagerly to see her on the big screen. Leading up to her 70 mm outing, Neetu Kapoor interacted with the media where she made some interesting revelations.

With two talented actors like son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter-in-law Alia Bhatt in the family, when asked if they gave her any advice before she went on set for JugJugg Jeeyo, Neetu ji quipped, “Advice nahi par maine unhe bola ki tum dono itne ache actors ho, please meri reading le lo. (Not any advice, but I did tell them that since they are such talented actors, they should take my reading). They started laughing at me and said that I’ll be fine and I should go with full confidence.”

She even remembered her late husband Rishi Kapoor fondly, revealing when he wanted Ranbir and Alia to get married. “I feel that he is blessing me, his hand is over me and it will always be there. All this love that I am getting from everyone around me is all him. He wants me to be happy, that’s why I am getting all this love and I got this beautiful bahurani, meri Alia. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better, she’s so lovely. It’s all his blessings. He actually wanted them to get married when he was in the hospital. He was like ab to kar lo yaar shaadi,” she shared.

Neetu ji went to reveal a funny incident regarding Rishi ji, Ranbir and Alia as well. “There is a very funny incident. My husband was there in the hospital in the ICU and normally main, Ranbir aur Alia baithe rehte the saara din wahaan because obviously he was not well and sab pipes wagerah lage hue the. Once my husband looked at them when he couldn’t even talk. He said to Ranbir and Alia, ‘tum log kitne velle log ho yaar, saara din yahin baithe rehte ho’,” she chuckled.

While Neetu ji can’t stop raving about her son and daughter-in-law, she shared that she hasn’t met them much since their wedding. “Ye dono ki jabse shaadi hui hai, tabse they have been travelling. He has gone to Spain and she is in London. I have not met them. Phone karo to they are busy shooting, always saying that I am in a shot. But they keep messaging me their reaction and people’s reaction they receive (on JugJugg Jeeyo trailer),” she said.

The Brahmastra couple got married on April 14 this year and since then Neetu ji has been showering love on her daughter-in-law Alia every time she is out there. She was also raving about the Brahmastra trailer and both Ranbir and Alia in it. She is indeed one loving mother-in-law.
