Alia Bhatt and Ranbir welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Sunday. Neetu Kapoor, who became a grandmother, was spotted leaving Mumbai’s Reliance Hospital in the evening. The veteran actor was by her daughter-in-law’s side. Neetu Kapoor gave an update on the health of Alia and granddaughter. She had the sweetest reply when asked who the baby girl resembles more – Alia or Ranbir.

When asked what she wanted to say about her granddaughter, Neetu responded, “Why do you always ask me all this? What do I say? I am very happy.”

When asked who the baby girl resembles more – Alia or Ranbir, Neetu replied, “She is too small right now, just born today. So, hard to say right now but she is very cute.” She also gave an update on Alia’s health and said, “She is ekdum (totally) first class. Everything is fine.”

On Sunday, Alia shared the good news with her fans with a small note that read, “And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here… and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!! Love love love Alia and Ranbir.” Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone, and Kartik Aaryan among others congratulated the couple.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in April, and announced pregnancy in June. The couple starred together in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, which released in September. Alia played the role of Isha and Ranbir was seen as Shiva.

Talking about Neetu, she was last seen in JugJugg Jeeyo.
