Neetu Kapoor makes some candid revelations about son Ranbir

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has been hitting headlines for two reasons. The first is the super success of his recent release ‘Sanju’ and the other being the new love of his life Alia Bhatt. The Kapoor boy has admitted that he is dating the ‘Raazi’ star but as the relationship is too new he needs some space.

Ranbir has earlier dated Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone and is often been labelled as the Casanova of Bollywood. His relationship with his girlfriends has always been a hot topic of discussion. The actor is regarded as a ladies man by many however his mother veteran actress Neetu Kapoor thinks otherwise.

In a throwback interview that she had done with Firstpost in 2011, Neetu Kapoor had opened up about her ‘shy’ son’ and his relationships.

In the interview, Neetu Kapoor was asked one thing she would like to change about her son.

Neetu Kapoor said: “He is too soft. He can’t hurt anybody. It’s the same with his relationships, he does not know how to say no, and gets into the deep end! I see it happening and can do nothing about it.”

She further added, “The first time he felt involved, I knew the girl was not right for him. But when I told him, he rebelled. So I learned to tackle it another way. I told him don’t get serious so soon, the more you see the more you know and learn, so meet many girls, and go out with them, but don’t commit yet. But I have learned to not be an irritant. I say it once and move away. It works.”

Ranbir Kapoor’s mother says that he has never approached any girl as he is too shy to do so.

“I think he is charming, but he is very shy. I don’t see him approaching a girl. It’s they who make the first move, and he is too soft to say no and gets involved. But he does confide in me, sometimes asks my advice. And I speak to him like a friend, and even try to get him out of an involvement if that is the best option,” said Neetu Kapoor.

Ranbir Kapoor is a self-confessed Mamma’s boy and reportedly his mother was never happy with any of his girlfriend till date. She was apparently not impressed by Deepika Padukone. Nor was she happy when he moved out for a live-in relationship with Katrina Kaif. But Alia seems to have left Mama Kapoor much impressed as she has been praising and bonding with her big time.

It is rumored that Alia will also be a part of Neetu Kapoor’s birthday celebrations in Paris.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are busy with the shoot of ‘Brahmastra’. The Ayan Mukerji directorial also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role.
