Neha Dhupia finally reveals her son’s name, says, ‘He reacts beautifully to the name’

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi became proud parents to a beautiful baby boy in October last year. But the couple had kept the fans guessing when it come to the name of their son. Well, Neha has finally unveiled the name of her son and we can’t get over it. Neha Dhupia said that she, along with Angad have named their son Guriq Singh Dhupia Bedi.

The actress explained that Guriq means to be one with God and the saviour of the world. While it is an unusual name it has a nice ring to it, Neha said that their son reacts ‘beautifully’ to the name. Neha Dhupia told Hindustan Times, “Guriq means one with God. One from God and saviour of the world. It is a different name and we love it, even the spelling is beautiful and unusual. The credit for the name goes to the mother, and the credit for the spelling goes to the father [Angad].”

Neha said that she came up with the name but Angad also zeroed in on the same, “I came up with the name, but when it comes to a child, it is always a combined effort. We are glad that we zeroed in on Guriq, because we love the sound of it. He (her son) also reacts beautifully to the name. He is just three months, and now he recognises sounds way more.”

Dhupia added, “I stumbled upon the name, and the meaning was beautiful. We always wanted something that has a beautiful meaning and is a slightly unusual name. The most important thing was that both mom and dad had to come around it. Mom came around instantly and Guriq’s dad took a while to come around, but I’m glad he did.”

But, while the family will know him as Guriq as well as the rest of the nation. But for his sister Mehr, he will always be her “Koala brother”, reveals Neha.
