Neha Kakkar slammed by netizens for remaking Falguni Pathak’s iconic song Maine Payal Hai Chhankai: Ruined our childhood memory’

Singer Neha Kakkar has recreated the iconic song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ sung by Dandiya Queen Falguni Pathak. Recently, T-Series dropped the teaser of the song on social media. However, this didn’t go well with the netizens who slammed the singer for recreating the popular song.

T-Series took to social media and dropped the teaser of Neha Kakkar’s version of Maine Payal Hai Chankai.

The recreated song sung by Neha Kakkar is directed by Vijay Singh and its lyrics are penned by Jaani and Lalit Sen. It features Priyank Sharma and Dhanashree Verma. Angry Netizens soon took to the comments section to share their reactions. One netizen commented, “That’s it! She just ruined my whole childhood. Absolutely horrendous.” Another wrote, “absolute beautiful song it was untill u ruined it with this voice.” One comment read, “As always neha kakkar has ruined our childhood memory.” “Oh God, why do they need to screw up every beautiful old songs.” Another shared, “What a disgrace! For the unversed, ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ sung by Falguni Pathak is one of the most loved and popular songs of the 90s. It starred Falguni, Vivan Bhatena, and Nikhila Palat and even after so many years, the romantic track is loved by the masses.

Neha Kakkar is presently judging the popular singing reality show ‘Indian Idol 13’. She is often trolled for getting emotional on hearing the struggling stories of contestants. Reacting to the trolling she told ETimes that not everyone is as sensitive as she is, thus she “can’t blame” those who make fun of her.
