Netizens troll Sonam Kapoor after she lashed out at people for bursting crackers

Yesterday the entire nation came out to support PM Modi’s ‘9 pm-9 minutes’ call. Actress Sonam Kapoor had taken to her social media handle to express her disappointment over some people bursting crackers. The actress even expressed her concern for stray animals. However, she was once again trolled by the netizens. Wondering why? Well, then read on to know the reason.

As per the ‘9 pm-9 minutes’ call, everyone was asked to light candles, burn diyas or use flashlight of their mobiles. The objective was to collectively dispel the darkness caused by the Coronavirus crisis. However, when some people started bursting crackers, Sonam lashed out at them and reminded them it’s not Diwali.

The actress took to her Twitter and wrote, “People are bursting crackers. Just FYI. The dogs are freaking out. Do people think it’s Diwali? I’m so confused.”

She further added, “There was complete peace and quite, and now the birds,dogs and sirens are freaking out in south Delhi because some morons decided to burst firecrackers tonight.”

Soon trolls dig up old pictures of Sonam bursting crackers with her family. The actress was labelled a hypocrite by the netizens.
