Now, the New York Indian Film Festival will be honouring the actors during the festival. The event will be held from May 7-12. Shashi Kapoor who has been a part of Merchant-Ivory movies like ‘The Householder’ will be honoured with the screenings of ‘Shakespeare Wallah’ and ‘Heat and Dust’, states a report in variety.com.
Sridevi’s 2012 hit flick ‘Engling Vinglish’ will be showcased at the festival to honour the actress. The festival opens on May 7 with a Marathi flick named ‘Nude’ helmed by Ravi Jadhav and closes on May 12 with Hansal Mehta’s ‘Omerta’ which stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead.
