A newbie to star opposite Varun Dhawan in ‘October’?

Varun Dhawan has an interesting line-up of films in his kitty. The actor is a part of Shoojit Sircar’s forthcoming flick ‘October’ and there have been several reports about the leading lady. However, there is no confirmation from the makers on the same.

Now, fresh reports in a tabloid suggest that a newcomer could possibly make the cut for the role of the leading lady opposite Dhawan. Yes, reportedly, many actresses including Deepika Padukone were considered for the role, but due to date hassles none could come on-board. So, the makers are now planning on casting a fresh face opposite Varun.

Just last week, Shoojit had stated that the female cast is yet to be finalised, so let’s wait until the director makes an official announcement on the leading lady. We are excited to know who could it be – a star kid, a newbie or a seasoned actress. Let’s wait and watch! The director had recently opened up on his movie in the past by saying, “‘October’ is an unusual slice-of-life story yet again. Like my previous work, this one, too, is an experiment. We are setting it in Delhi because that’s a world I understand well. It’s a coming-of-age story and completely character-driven. I’m glad we have an actor like Varun Dhawan on board. He is dynamic and a sucker for trying new things. Such flexible artistes add value to the plot. It is an unlikely story peppered with refreshing elements. I wouldn’t call it a romantic film, it’s a film about love.”
