Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra react as The White Tiger receives an Oscar nomination

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the nominees of the 93rd annual Academy Awards on Monday (March 15). Interestingly, Priyanka’s film The White Tiger bagged a nomination in the Best Adapted Screenplay category. The film is an adaptation of the 2008 Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name by author Aravind Adiga. PeeCee not only featured in the film but also co-produced it.

Obviously, PeeCee is over the moon. But looks like more than her, it was Nick who is extremely proud of his wife’s achievement. Reacting to The White Tiger bagging nomination, Nick shared a lovely appreciation post for his wifey.

Apart from her film receiving an Oscar nomination, Priyanka also became the first Indian to announce nominees. Showering praises on the Barfi! star Nick shared a picture with her and wrote, “So I got to announce the #OscarsNoms this morning with this beautiful woman, who also happens to now have produced and starred in an Oscar-nominated film (The White Tiger). Congrats to all the nominees. I’ll be watching on April 25th. @priyankachopra(sic).”

Responding to Nick’s post, PeeCee wrote, “❤️ My forever guy.”

Apart from PeeCee, The White Tiger also features Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav in the lead. The film is helmed by Ramin Bahrani.

Priyanka is elated that her film has made it to the Oscars. Expressing her happiness, the actress posted, “We just got nominated for an Oscar! Congratulations Ramin and team #TheWhiteTiger. Somehow announcing the nomination myself made it so much more special. So so proud ❤️(sic).”

The other nominees on the Best Adapted Screenplay category are One Night in Miami, Nomadland, The Father and Borat Subsequent MovieFilm. The Sky Is Pink actress also thanked the other nominees by sharing the following post.
