Nikamma Motion Poster: Abhimanyu Dassani packs a punch in this actioner

Abhimanyu Dassani made an action-packed debut with Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota four years ago and then went on to show his softer side in Meenakshi Sundareshwar just last year. The actor impressed with his impeccable transformation in both these roles winning the hearts of the audience. Now, Abhimanyu Dassani is all set to get back to action with Nikamma, and the motion poster released today just perfectly showcase his action prowess.

The team of Nikamma took to social media today to share the first motion poster of the film and it sees Abhimanyu Dassani showing his action skills as he fights off men breaking their jaws and leaving them stunned. With the poster, the actor also announced the date for the trailer release of the film. He wrote, “Ab meri bari. #NikammaTrailer out on 17th MAY. #nikammagiri #nikamma. (sic)”

Nikamma features the YouTube sensation Shirley Setia opposite Abhimanyu, marking her big screen debut. Before this, Shirley had appeared in the Netflix film Maska with Prit Kamani and Manisha Koirala. Meanwhile, the actioner also features Shilpa Shetty marking her big screen comeback after 14 years and is directed by Sabbir Khan, who has directed action films like Heropanti and Baaghi before. It is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Sabbir Khan Films, and is eyeing a theatrical release on June 17, 2022.

On the work front, Abhimanyu also has the family comedy Aankh Micholi by Umesh Shukla, which features an ensemble cast including Mrunal Thakur, Divya Dutta, Vijay Raaz, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Abhishek Banerjee and Darshan Jariwala amongst others. Meanwhile, Shilpa has the slice-of-life film Sukhee up next, followed by Rohit Shetty’s web series Indian Police Force in which she plays the role of the first female cop in Rohit’s cop universe.
