Zaira Wasim‘s decision to quit from the Bollywood industry came as a shock to us. Taking to social media, Zaira wrote a lengthy post and said that her career was interfering with her faith and she sacrificed her career for her latter. Her decision created a great hullabaloo on social media. While some supported the actress, there were some who criticised her decision.
Zaira worked with director Nitesh Tiwari in ‘Dangal’ and while talking to Mirror, Tiwari said, “Zaira has become incommunicado. She is a mature girl and since I don’t understand the situation she is facing, I don’t have the right to comment on her decision. I am sure she must have thought it out and taken a conscious call. Still, it’s sad because she is a fantastic actress as ‘Dangal’ and ‘Secret Superstar’ proved.”
He further said, “And if for whatever reasons, she decided to step away, it’s the industry’s loss. For me, it’s a personal loss because she debuted in my film, so there was a sense of pride. My best wishes to her, I hope she finds what she seeks.”
On the work front, Nitesh Tiwari’s next is ‘Chhichhore’ that stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in pivotal roles. Zaira’s next movie is ‘The Sky is Pink’ which is the last movie of her career. It also has Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar.
