It was a few days back that the news of Salman Khan and Fawad Khan teaming up for a new project made it to the headlines. This had many people excited. But looks like the controversy surrounding ban on Pakistani artists in India, has made the makers rethink.
Fawad was said to be a part of Salman Khan Productions’ next, directed by Nitin Kakkar. Nitin had also confirmed about the same to a group of media saying they have already locked in the Pakistani sensation and the shooting shall commence next year. But after the controversy, Nitin rubbished the reports and has also been blaming the media for spreading such baseless rumours.
Nitin said in a recent interview, “Fawad Kaun? I don’t know who is spreading these rumours.” However during the screening of his short film some time back, Nitin went on record to confirm Fawad’s involvement. He had said, “The film will roll early next year when Fawad’s dates are available. However, unlike the director’s last film ‘Filmistaan’, there is no social message in this one. This is an urban love story. But more than that, it’s an interesting take on relationships between a boy and a girl.”
So now that Nitin has denied working with Fawad, we wonder if the film has been shelved.
