No cuts for Ajay Devgn’s ‘Baadshaho’, CBFC grants U/A certificate

Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Vidyut Jammwal, Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta-starrer ‘Baadshaho’ becomes the first film to be granted a U/A certificate by the CBFC under the governance of new chief Prasoon Joshi. That too without any verbal cuts. This means that ‘Baadshaho’ is one family entertainer that one can look forward to.

Earlier reports had it that apparently some kissing scenes from the film have been chopped off by the makers, fearing the wrath of CBFC. But during an event, Ajay as well as the director of the film Milan Luthria rubbished all these reports. Milan had stated, “I don’t think anybody decides how we edit the film. This is a straightforward film and is not likely to get into any trouble.” In fact, in one our interviews, Ajay had spoken about the intimate scenes and had stated that he feels uncomfortable performing intimate scenes and would do it only if the script demands. There was a kiss in ‘Shivaay’ only because the script demanded. In ‘Baadshaho’ we will not see him indulging in any kiss. On top of that, he also revealed that the serial-kisser of Bollywood, Emraan Hashmi too does not have any kissing scene in ‘Baadshaho’.

Over CBFC granting this film a clean chit, a source has said, “You will never find Ajay associated with anything even remotely off colour.”

With this, we now look forward to ‘Baadshaho’ that releases on September 1. It would be clashing with Aamir Khan’s film ‘Secret Superstar’ that stars ‘Dangal’ actress Zaira Wasim in the lead. (Also Check: ‘Baadshaho’: All the badasses come together in the song ‘Hoshiyar Rehna’)
