No liquor, no drugs, Shahid Kapoor was high on this during ‘Udta Punjab’

Shahid Kapoor‘s ‘Udta Punjab’ is much in the talks these days, thanks to his character of a rock star who is always high on drugs. The film revolves around the plot of substance abuse issue prevailing in certain parts of Punjab and victims of this menace are supposedly Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the film.

With the trailer which recently made it to the internet, Shahid seems to have completely drenched himself in his character. But well, if you think Shahid indulged in consuming substance and liquor to keep himself high for his role, then you are absolutely wrong. It’s ‘Caffeine High’ for Shahid in the film.

In one of his latest interviews, Shahid said, “In the absence of alcohol and any kind of substance, what helped me to get the kind of high I needed for my character was coffee. I would drink several cups of coffee before giving those shots.”

Woah! Coffee surely had some good effect of Shasha as we absolutely love the madness he carries in the film. ‘Udta Punjab’ is set to release on June 17.
