No! Priyanka Chopra is not charging a massive amount to promote Assam tourism

It was just last week that reports were doing the rounds in the media that actress Priyanka Chopra had charged a massive amount of Rs 15 crore for just 10 days shoot to promote Assam tourism.

But, here’s an official confirmation on the same by the Assam Tourism Development. They have issued a letter that says, “The media reports regarding the remuneration are false.” The spokesperson of Priyanka has also said these reports to be fake.

According to an insider, “Priyanka was approached for the campaign, and she is keen to do it too. But they never spoke about the money. She has been actively working for many causes, and the idea of promoting tourism for an Indian state appealed to her. She isn’t in the country till December, as she is busy shooting for her American show. She is also looking forward to the release of her Hollywood film. But she really wants to be part of this campaign, and will take a call on it soon.”

So that makes things quite clear and we are glad as the rumours can finally take a backseat.
