The bail plea hearing of Aryan Khan took place today at the Special NDPS court in Mumbai. Aryan was rejected bail by the Mumbai Court in the cruise ship drug case earlier and his lawyer Satish Maneshinde then moved to the special court. Aryan Khan was taken in by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2 after he was caught in a drug raid on a cruise ship at the Mumbai Coast, he had applied for bail since he was taken in custody but Khan was rejected thrice by the court. In a recent development of the case, Aryan Khan’s bail plea hearing will not continue on Wednesday after today’s session.
Senior Counsel Amit Desai had appeared as lead counsel for Aryan Khan in bail application before Special NDPS court today. Special Public Prosecutor for NCB Advait Sethna had also arrived. Desai had argued, “Bail does not stop investigation. But the man has been in for a week. After looking at case diary and other persons, it was concluded that PC (police custody) is not required. Of course NCB is doing its duty. From what I have seen from the record for my person, from last Sunday till this Friday, he was in custody. Only a statement was recorded on Sunday. ” as per The Live Law.

Desai also said that nothing as found on Aryan Khan and his liberty is at stake, “We are in the hands of court. To see justice is to be done. Admitted fact that nothing was found on Aryan Khan. NCB has argued bail last week. So plea may be heard tomorrow. Question of my liberty at stake”
SPP Advait Sethna for NCB said that they need time to file a reply to Aryan and do justice to the case, “Need time to file reply to Aryan Khan to do justice to both sides the matter is of some importance. Normally we ask for one week. Till Thursday at least. I leave it on court’s conscience.” The further proceedings in the case will now take place on Wednesday.
No relief for Aryan Khan as yet, he will remain in Arthur Road Jail till day after.
