‘No way to ever repay what Shah Rukh Khan has done on Brahmastra’, says Ayan Mukerji

Actor Shah Rukh Khan was one of the highlights of Brahmastra apart from the epic VFX and the fantasy world. People were absolute bawled over SRK’s performance in the film and wanted more of him in the film. For the unversed, Shah Rukh essayed the role of Vanarastra in Brahmastra. As he was in a special role in the movie, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji said that there’s no way to ever repay what Shah Rukh has done for the film.

Speaking about Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in Brahmastra, director Ayan Mukerji told PTI, “We wrote that in our credits, ‘Eternally grateful to Mr. Shah Rukh Khan’. Sometimes, people come and do something so generous and large-hearted. There is no way to ever repay what Shah Rukh Khan has done on Brahmastra. Unanimously, one of the favourite things in Brahmastra has been Shah Rukh sir’s sequence.”

Mukerji even confirmed that there’s a connection between Shah Rukh Khan’s Swades and said that naming his character Mohan Bhargav was intentional. Ayan revealed, “In Swades, he (Shah Rukh) plays a NASA scientist called Mohan Bhargava, who decides to come back and work in India. Since I had worked on Swades as an assistant, I thought it would be a nice thing to throw in here.”

Moreover, in another interview, the Dilwale actor also confirms that there will be a spin-off for SRK’s character as he says, “I guess my response to the spin-off demand is that, already thinking about it, hearing everything and are planning our next moves.”

On the other hand, this year, Shah Rukh Khan was seen in many cameos.
