The 14th edition of Bollywood Film Festival in Norway kicked off with great grandeur, graced with the presence of yesteryear actress Zeenat Aman and actress Huma Qureshi as Chief Guests. Also present were Mayor of Lørenskog, Ragnhild Bergheim, secretary of the state Bård Folke Fredriksen, individuals from Indian and Iranian film industries and representatives from Indian Bureaucracy.
In the opening ceremony, Zeenat Aman was awarded for her lifetime contribution to Indian cinema. She was also honoured with a special stamp carrying her photo on it, released by the postal department of Norway administration.
Huma Qureshi was awarded as the most promising upcoming actress in Bollywood. Apart from these, debutante director Azaan Khan with his first film ‘Bankster’ was also present at the festival and was awarded the ‘Shri Vikas Mohan’ award for being the most promising upcoming director from Bollywood.
