Not another ‘Raaz’ movie for Emraan Hashmi

Emraan Hashmi was seen in three instalments of ‘Raaz’ series – ‘Raaz 2’, ‘Raaz 3’ and ‘Raaz Reboot’. While his fans are waiting to see him in the fifth part of the franchise, the actor recently clarified that he doesn’t want to do another movie under the franchise.

Emraan said, “Raaz is a closed chapter. I don’t want to do another one in that series. I don’t want to be part of a sequel just for the sake of it.”

Well, Emraan’s decision has come as a surprise as apart from ‘Raaz Reboot’, all other films under the franchise did very well at the box office, and there are many actors in the industry who bank on the sequels. The actor said, “For many actors, sequels or franchise films are like a safety net. But recently, we had many examples of sequels that haven’t worked. Emraan had a great run at the box office with Vishesh Films, and the actor is ready to work with the Bhatts again. He said, “We will only work together if something substantial comes up. I am sure if Bhatt saab [Mahesh Bhatt] has a script in mind for me, he will bounce it off.”

Well, the actor is currently busy with the promotions of Milan Luthria’s ‘Baadshaho’ which also stars Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jammwal. The movie gets Emraan back on the big screen in a role that moviegoers have loved him. The actor’s last few films didn’t do well at the box office, let’s see if ‘Baadshaho’ will finally give him a hit or not.
