Not Anushka Shetty, but Sonam Kapoor was the first choice for Prabhas-starrer ‘Saaho’?

After the super success of ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’, everybody has all eyes for the lead actor Prabhas. Naturally, now everyone expects him to come up with more lucrative movie projects that will entice the audience and box office alike. But, the actor who believes in going slow has only signed one movie until now.

His next flick ‘Saaho’ will bring back the pairing of Baahubali and Devasena, i.e. Prabhas and Anushka Shetty and fans can’t wait for this one. But, according to reports in a web portal, Anushka Shetty wasn’t the first choice to play Prabhas’ love interest in the movie. A report in a leading daily states that, “The filmmakers gave Sonam a brief idea of the film, and she agreed to meet them. But neither did the meeting happen nor did the makers return with a bound script.” Many other actresses like Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani and Pooja Hegde were also the contenders for the same. However, the role was destined to fall in the lap of Devasena aka Anushka Shetty.

The movie is directed by Sujeeth and will be releasing in 2018.
