It was after months of delay and numerous rumours, that finally, the female lead was confirmed for ‘Saaho’, to share screen space with superstar Prabhas. And the lucky lady is none other than Shraddha Kapoor. Ever since her third film ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013), which launched her in the tinsel town properly, the actress has surprised us with her talent, whether in acting, or in singing. Like the countless admirers and moviegoers out there, we too are eagerly waiting with bated breath to catch ‘Saaho’, especially the fresh and beautiful chemistry that we will get to witness between Shraddha and Prabhas on big screen.
But, while we were waiting to catch ‘Saaho’, something else caught the Sherlock within us. Did you know that a connection existed between Shraddha and Prabhas, even before ‘Saaho’? (Also Read: Shraddha Kapoor all set to lose weight for ‘Saaho’)
Let’s break this to you. If we look at the actress’ filmography, her 2016 released film ‘Baaghi’ which starred Shraddha opposite actor Tiger Shroff, it was loosely a remake of a Telugu film titled ‘Varsham’ (2004). And this film starred none other than Prabhas in the lead role! The female lead of this film was Trisha Krishnan, who later had made her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar in ‘Khatta Meetha’ (2010) which is her only Hindi film release till date. Coming to ‘Baaghi’, this Shraddha and Tiger-starrer went on to be quite a success and was also one of the highest grossing films of that year.
Well, we are wondering that how many fans of Shraddha and Prabhas would now go and watch ‘Baaghi’ and ‘Varsham’ respectively again, after knowing this fact.
Talking about their upcoming film ‘Saaho’, it also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh who will be seen as an antagonist in the movie. He has already started shooting for the film.
‘Saaho’ is a trilingual movie, and will be made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
