Not Kiara Advani but Parineeti Chopra was first choice for Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh? Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga REVEALS

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal wreaked havoc at the box office and became one of the year’s highest-grossing movies. The movie starring Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna is receiving rave response. Earlier, Parineeti Chopra was cast as the leading lady alongside Ranbir Kapoor but unfortunately, things didn’t work. In a recent development, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed he wanted to work with Parineeti Chopra for Kabir Singh.

In a recent interview, the director said, “Actually, galti mera hi hai (it is my mistake). I signed her one and a half years before the shoot and for some reason, I didn’t see Geetanjali in her. Kuch kuch characters kuch kuch logo ko set nahi hota hai (some characters don’t suit some people)”.

He further added, “Main kabhi audition main believe nahi karta. I go with my instinct only. That I know. From day one I have liked her acting and I always wanted to cast her as Preeti also in Kabir Singh but hua nahi uss time. That’s long due. I always wanted to work with her. I told her and she also knows that. I told her, ‘Sorry, nothing is bigger than the film. So I’m taking this decision and going ahead with another artist.’ She felt bad but she understood why I was saying that,” he said.

Here’s why Rashmika Mandanna replaced Parineeti Chopra in Animal

In an interview earlier, Parineeti stated that she opted out of the film as she was busy showing for Chamkila. In a viral post on Reddit, screenshot of a report from M9 News claims that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga found Parineeti unsuitable for the part and decided to replace her. While Parineeti was disappointed with this development, the importance was given to the role and not the actress.

About Animal

Besides Ranbir and Rashmika, the movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Saloni Batra, Shakti Kapoor, and Suresh Oberoi. The film was released theatrically today on December 1st, clashing with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. Animal is A certified with a duration of 3 hrs 23 minutes.

Talking about Parineeti Chopra, the actress will next be seen in Chamkila alongside Diljit Dosanjh. She is currently enjoying marital bliss with Raghav Chadha.
