Nushrratt Bharuccha had auditioned for THIS movie starring Alia Bhatt

Nushrratt Bharuccha, who celebrates her birthday today has managed to win hearts with her performances so far. The actress has garnered a massive fan base on social media and is loved by all. Nushrrat rose to fame after the success of the movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama. However, it was one time when the actress had auditioned for a movie that starred Alia Bhatt.

On the birthday of Nushrratt Bharuccha, here is one interesting fact about the actress that we bet you didn’t know!

Nushrratt had dreamt of making her Hindi film debut with a Karan Johar directorial. Like many actors out there, the actress also wished to feature in the 2012 movie titled Student of the Year. It was back in 2018 when Bharuccha had even opened up about the same. She had mentioned that it was an Alia Bhatt starrer, directed by Karan Johar, that she had auditioned for. She had mentioned that she had performed in front of Karan Johar.

As per a MidDay report, the actress had said, “I remember auditioning for Student Of The Year in front of Karan Johar. It was back then that I performed in front of him.” Talking about Student of the Year, the movie starred Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in key roles. Karan Johar had directed the movie and Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra made their Bollywood debuts with SOTY.

Meanwhile, Bharuccha had made her Hindi film debut with the movie Jai Santoshi Maa in 2006. She then went on to star in the movie titled Kal Kissne Dekha. The actress got recognition after featuring in the Luv Ranjan movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama.

On the work front, Nushrratt was last seen in the movie Chhorii. She played the role of a pregnant women in the horror genre film. The actress has Janhit Mein Jaari, waiting to release. Apart from that, she also has Ram Setu with Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez, in her kitty. She has wrapped up the shooting schedule of Ram Setu.
