Nushrratt Bharuccha REVEALS she was hurt on being replaced by Ananya Panday in Dream Girl 2

The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl 2 is just around the corner to hit theaters. Dream Girl 2 is a sequel to the 2019 film Dream Girl, which also featured Ayushmann playing the character of Pooja. Now, in the sequel, Ayushmann is taking forward the same character and will be seen in a distinct female avatar. The actor surely knows how to charm and impress his fans and followers.

In the first part of the film, Ayushmann shared the screen with Nushrratt Bharuccha and now, he will be seen with Ananya Panday. Needless to say, the first part turned out to be amazing, and the netizens are not expecting anything less. Since Nushrratt played the female lead in Dream Girl, she has shared her thoughts on not being casted for the sequel.

Nushrratt Bharuccha opens up on not being casted for Dream Girl 2

Speaking with ETimes, the Dream Girl actress said, “I was a part of Dream Girl 1 and I loved the whole team. I terribly miss working with them. But why they didn’t cast me in Dream Girl 2, only they can answer. I don’t know, there is no logic and there is no answer to it. But why they didn’t cast me? I am a human being, so of course it hurts. And of course it feels unfair. But I get it, its their decision. Cool, no problem.”

The actress is coming up in Akelli as her next film, directed by Pranay Meshram. The film is based on true events and is a survival drama set. The trailer for Akelli was released a week ago and looked nothing less than gripping and captivating. Interestingly, the film is also releasing on the same date as Dream Girl 2, on 25 August.

Dream Girl 2 film’s trailer had grabbed attention and was loved for the right reasons. The film stands directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and is all set for a theatrical release on 25 August.
