With this year’s BMC elections being held today, many Bollywood celebrities came out to cast a vote. Celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Rekha, Paresh Rawal, Shraddha Kapoor, Madhur Bhandarkar, Bobby Deol, John Abraham, Renuka Shahane and others were spotted at polling booth post casting their vote. Many celebrities also took to their Twitter handle to show off their inked finger and encouraged people to make use of their power. But unfortunately, Varun Dhawan could not do so.
Despite being in the city and willing to vote, Varun could not vote as his name was not on the list. When he reached the polling booth, Varun was informed that his name is not on the list and hence he can’t vote. He tried to find his name by himself and also tried to contact a few officials for the same, but all in vain.
Hmm… sad, but at least he was willing to vote and do his bit for the nation.
Anyway, on the work front, he is busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ with Alia Bhatt. The film will make it to the theatres on March 10, 2017. It is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions. (ALSO READ: Oops! These Bollywood celebrities won’t be able to cast their vote this BMC election)
