Ohh! Diljit Dosanjh is not a part of Akshay Kumar starrer, produced by Salman Khan

There have been incessant reports of ‘Udta Punjab’ actor Diljit Dosanjh being a part of a Akshay Kumar-starrer movie co-produced by Salman Khan and Karan Johar. But, looks like they are only rumours and not for real as the director and sources close to the team have stated that he is not a part of the movie. A source close to the team quoted to a leading web portal, “This is purely conjectural and unfounded. No one has been signed except Akshay Kumar for this project. We are yet to take a call about the rest of the cast. But planting Diljit’s name into our heads is not going to help his cause. And why does his team need to do all this? Diljit is such a big star in Punjab. Desperate remedies to get attention in Bollywood make him look small.”

Another source also said that Diljit is not a part of the movie and also added Salman Khan who is the co-producer will not be making a cameo appearance in the movie. The source said, “They probably thought this was a logical since Diljit is very close to director Anurag Singh and the two have collaborated on several hit Punjabi films. But it doesn’t follow that Diljit has to be in everything that Anurag makes. Diljit should calm down his marketing team. This report not only suggests he is teaming up with Akshay but also Salman Khan. Contrary to reports Salman is not playing a cameo in this film. Diljit Dosanjh’s team is misguiding his estimated power in Bollywood.”

The director of the movie, Anurag Singh has also denied roping in Diljit for the movie. He said, “No one except Akshay Kumar has been cast as yet.” Hmm, that should definitely quash all reports of Diljit’s presence in the untitled movie.
