Om Puri’s wife Nandita Puri calls his ghost video “rubbish” and Pakistani news anchor a “joker”

On January 6, 2017, Bollywood lost one of it’s most versatile and spectacular artist, actor Om Puri. The actor got a severe cardiac arrest which led to his demise. But, within a week, a Pakistani news channel, made a video about how they spotted the ghost of Om Puri walking outside his house, trying to seek revenge with Ajit Doval, India’s National Security Adviser and his wife Nandita. In the video, a blurred image of a man wearing a white kurta was seen slowly moving in the dark and the anchor, Aamir Liaquat, very convincingly tried to establish the fact that he is none other than the ghost of Om Puri. The video has gone viral again after Aaj Tak tried to decode the mystery. His wife Nandita was asked about the ghost video of her late husband and her reaction was exactly what one would expect. She called the video “rubbish” and also called the Pakistani anchor a “joker”. Speaking with Spotboye, she said, “I haven’t seen the video per say. My friends told me about it. When they mentioned my first reaction was, ‘Good for them’. It’s all rubbish. Aamir Liaquat is a joker in Pakistan, who does these things for cheap publicity. What my sources have told me, he was given this from somebody in India in January and that time, Indian channels refused to take it. They must have realised that if they carry such a news, the nation will kill them because it is a very sensitive topic. These are the people who want to live on other people’s success. And what is trending now by Aamir Liaquat, is extremely disgraceful and in bad taste. Om Puri had achieved heights and no one can match his toe nails also.”

She concluded by saying, “What Mr. Liaquat does makes no sense. Whole of Pakistan considers him as a joker. Nobody takes him serious. He’s a jerk.” Okay, it’s high time Mr. Liaquat stops his gimmicks then.
