Actor Prabhas has been making headlines for his blockbuster movie Kalki 2898 AD which garnered immense appreciation. From its VFX to the storyline, fans are going gaga over it. However, he is also making headlines for another reason when Arshad Warsi called him a joker in Kalki 2898 AD while also criticising the movie. On a similar note, filmmaker Om Raut who has worked with Prabhas in Adipurush feels that he and Salman Khan are flop-proof actors. “Ups and downs cannot affect them because the audiences’ love for them is beyond comprehension,” he said.
Om Raut shares Adipurush worked well at the box office
Moreover, talking about the performance of the film, he said, “Our first day was ₹70 crore, and that’s just in India. Our total box office was over ₹400 crore. So, the numbers were very large. With Adipurush, there was a loss of perception, not a loss of revenue. If the perception was positive, if the perception was under control, we would’ve seen an exorbitant number, which we did not see. That was disappointing.”
When Adipurush was released, fans bashed the movie left, right and centre. From its storyline to showcasing a modern representation of Ramayan, fans didn’t accept it. Even they bashed the VFX and dialogues. Despite all the negativity, Prabhas starrer Adipurush managed to earn over Rs 400 crores globally.
