On PM Narendra Modi’s birthday, Anushka joins the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Today is our PM, Sri Narendra Modi’s 67th birthday. On the occassion, the whole Bollywood has wished the dynamic politician, on their respective Twitter handles. From Anil Kapoor and Kailash Kher, to Riteish Deshmukh and Bhumi Pednekar, everyone had something or the other to add to the outpouring wishes.

Amongst them, actress Anushka Sharma too has wished the PM on her Twitter handle. However, she has gone a step ahead and shared a letter from the office of the PM, which states that the actress has joined the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a movement to clean the country. Anushka took to Twitter and wrote, “Happy Birthday to our honourable PM @narendramodi ji.Thank you Sir for the invitation to join the #SwachhataHiSeva movement (1/2)”

She further said, “I am honoured to be a part of #SwachhBharat campaign and will do my best for the noble initiative of #SwachhataHiSeva (2/2)”

This is indeed an appreciable move on the part of the actress. We all know how in our country, Bollywood serves to be one influential factor in the lives of common people. Hence, one positive step by a celebrity leads to millions following into his or her footsteps. We hope that along with Anushka, many of her fans too contribute to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

On work front, Anushka’s last venture ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, wherein she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan, failed to create any magic on the box office. She will next be seen in her home production ‘Pari’, the first looks of which have already intrigued people. She will also be seen in the untitled Dutt biopic.
