With films like ‘I Am’, ‘Bas Ek Pal, ‘My Brother Nikhil’ registered in his name, Onir truly is one of the finest filmmakers we have in our country. He is now set to present his another venture, ‘Shab’, starring Ashish Bisht, Raveena Tandon and Arpita Chatterjee. Set in Delhi, ‘Shab’ is an interesting tale of one’s struggle to achieve big. On one hand, the film describes their longing and their search for love and, on the other hand, the external influences and the urban environment that will determine their fate. With a spectacular narration, ‘Shab’ has now made it to 14th Indian Film Festival Stuttgart.
This film festival provides a platform for various independent films to gain recognition and ‘Shab’ is one of them. Elated with his film receiving such recognition among many other noteworthy independent films, director Onir states, “I am delighted that ‘Shab’ is going to Stuttgart in the competition section. I have been there earlier with ‘I Am’ and cherish the audience reaction and atmosphere. Looking forward to the screening.”
