Oscars 2021: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announce nominees; The White Tiger gets nominated in Best Adapted Screenplay category

93rd Oscars nominations full list is out! On Monday, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the list of nominations for the 93rd annual Academy Awards. The nominations were announced in 23 categories. The Father, Judas and the Black Messiah, Mank, Minari, Nomadland, Promising Young Woman, Sound of Metal and The Trial of the Chicago 7 are nominated in the Best Picture category. Chloé Zhao (Nomadland) and Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman), Thomas Vinterberg (Another Round), David Fincher (Mank) and Lee Isaac Chung (Minari) will be competing in the Best Director category.

Priyanka Chopra, Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav’s The White Tiger got a nod in the category Best Adapted Screenplay in Oscars 2021. It will be competing with movies like One Night in Miami, Nomadland, The Father and Borat Subsequent MovieFilm.

The Oscars 2021 was supposed to be held in February this year but due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, it got delayed. The award ceremony will be held on April 25 at Los Angeles historic Union Station and the landmark Dolby Theatre in LA.

Talking about The White Tiger, the film also earned two BAFTA nominations for Best Screenplay and Best Actor (Male) for Adarsh Gourav. It is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Aravind Adiga. The film has been co-produced by Priyanka along with Emmy award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
