We all know Karni Sena was against the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ and wanted a ban on the film as they felt that the movie disrespects Rani Padmavati and Rajput community. However, surprisingly they have ended the protest against the film, now.
Karni Sena’s Mumbai leader Yogendra Singh Katar stated that a few members of their group watched the movie on Friday in the city and felt that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial glorifies the valour and sacrifice of Rajput and after watching the Deepika Padukone-starrer every Rajput will feel proud.
In a letter, he has stated that the movie doesn’t have any objectionable scene between between Sultan Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavati. The letter declared that they have ended the protests will help the administration to release the movie in states that have earlier decided not to release the film.
While supreme court had lifted ban from all the states, in a few states the film was not being screened as the theatres owners decided not to release the film due to threats from Karni Sena. (Also Check: Padmaavat: Thanks to the ban, film FAILS to enter Rs 200 crore club by the end of 1st week)
