Just yesterday, superstar Akshay Kumar’s ‘Padman’ has opened at the box office to rave reviews. Narrating the story of Tamilnadu based social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham who created revolution by inventing a low-cost sanitary napkin producing machine, the film has been lauded for great social values that it tends to upholds. However, there seems to be a trouble in paradise as Ripu Daman Jaiswal, a scriptwriter has accused makers of plagiarism and claims that not 1, not 2 but 11 scenes have been copied from his script. He has filed a police complaint at a local police station.
On his Twitter handle, Jaiswal, as he discovered the ‘copied’ scenes, announced that he was going to take legal actions.
Intermission of PadMan. 11 scenes has been copied from my script uptil now and even one of the character. That’s it. I am definitely going to court.

On his Facebook profile, around two months back, the writer shared screenshots of the synopsis of his script that he had sent in to Dharma Productions.
