PadMan: Akshay promoted the film with Big B at THIS event and we didn’t even get it!

The trailer of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Pad Man’ has landed and it is everything that we expected it to be. From his madness towards a good cause to the peppy music which introduces our own desi superhero, ‘PadMan’ is everything that we are waiting for.

But while watching the trailer, something caught our attention. It was the opening line of the trailer, which goes on like this, “America ke paas Superman hai, Batman hai, Spider Man hai… Lekin India ke paas Padman hai.” Amitabh Bachchan’s impactful voice and Akshay Kumar’s introduction could not be better than this. And this, gave us a sense of deja vu.

Remember this video where Akshay introduced Amitabh Bachchan to us, at IFFI 2017, saying that America may have Superman, Batman, Spider Man, but we have Amitabh Bachchan? Yes, it was a reference to ‘PadMan’, and a very clever one too.

Ironically, while Akshay had used the line for Big B at the event, eventually even embarrassing the megastar as he is so humble, the latter has introduced Akshay using the same line, in the opening sequence of the trailer, and we are assuming the movie as well.

‘PadMan’ is slated to hit the screens on January 26, 2018. Helmed by R Balki, it also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in pivotal roles
