After numerous controversies, finally the new release date of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’, is now revealed, and it is January 25, with a new name ‘Padmavat’. The same was announced today. While many people heaved a sigh of relief on finally discovering the new release date, for some, the news is not a good one, seems like.
The Government of Rajasthan has stated that they won’t allow ‘Padmavat’ to release. It has written to the Union Home Ministry that since there are various controversies surrounding the movie, related to law and order, particularly in Rajasthan, hence, they would not be able to release the movie because they wouldn’t be able to provide security to each and every movie screen in Rajasthan.

Well, it’s saddening that the Government is not ready to cooperate in spite of a go-ahead from the CBFC. Seems like the movie won’t release in Rajasthan.
