After an examining committee consisting of historians viewed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ on 28th December, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the film with a U/A certificate.

As per ANI updates, the film was viewed from an unbiased perspective with the aim of striking a balance between both the filmmaker’s interest and the accuracy of historical facts. Panelists had their own inputs to add which were thoroughly discussed.

Following the modifications suggested by CBFC, the film’s title might change to ‘Padmavat’. A new release date has not been announced yet.
