Padmavati CBFC

We all know that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ is yet to get a certificate from CBFC. The film was slated to hit the screens on December 1, 2017, but missed its release date due to not getting a certificate and because of all the controversies revolving around it. However, it looks like the film might get the certification soon.

We all know that earlier the certification application was rejected by CBFC has the disclaimer was not submitted, and now, according to a report in DNA, the new disclaimer has raised a few questions on how the film will be viewed and certified by the members of CBFC.

The report also suggests that the movie will be certified today and the makers might opt to release their film in January.

An exhibitor told the daily, “There’s been no official intimation from the producers. Whenever they plan to release it, we will be happy to give them the promised number of screens.”

Another source stated, “Once the certificate comes, the producers will decide when they want to release ‘Padmavati’. As of now, they’re looking at January 5 and January 12.”

However, another exhibitor has stated that the film will release in February. The exhibitor said, “’Padmavati’ will only release in February next year. It’s looking for a vacant spot so that it gets a longer run at the cinemas.”
