Deepika Padukone

The controversy revolving around ‘Padmavati’ seems to see no end. From vandalising the sets of the film to vandalising the theatres showcasing the trailer of the film, the protest against the film has just turned violent. Everything broke loose when the people protesting against the film started threatening the makers. Haryana’s chief media coordinator Kunwar Surajpal Singh Ammu had openly announced Rs 10 crore bounty to the man who beheads the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and actress Deepika Padukone.

But here’s some relief. As per reports, Kunwar Surajpal Singh Ammu has been booked under Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code at Gurugram’s Sector 29 police station. A complaint was filed by a fan and following the complaint, the action was taken. The complainant Pawan Kumar in his complaint stated his feelings were badly hurt. Pawan Kumar’s complaint read, “I saw Ammu announcing Rs 10 crore reward for beheading film actress Padukone and filmmaker Bhansali. He has threatened both of dire consequences. Life of Padukone and Bhansali were in danger. Please take action against Ammu.”

We wonder when will the woes of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and ‘Padmavati’ come to an end though.
