In a shocking state of events, a dead body has been discovered hanging in Nahargarh Fort, Jaipur. And what is even more disturbing to know is that along with the body, a message has been engraved which reads as, “We don’t burn effigies. We kill.” This is really depressing to know considering how Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie ‘Padmavati’ has been in the middle of several controversies. However, the Shri Rajput Karni Sena has been denying their involvement in this. News18 has shared this shocking piece of news with a tweet and a video to go with it. The tweet says, “#BREAKING | Hanging dead body found in Jaipur’s Nahargarh fort main gate; a message “We don’t burn effigies, we hang people’ found near body”

The body was found hanging from a corner of the fort and it had the words ‘Padmavati Virodh (protest) written next to it. This news comes exactly a day after the British Board of Film Certification (BBFC) certified Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ in the UK. The Chief of Shri Rajput Karni Sena, Lokendra Singh Kalvi had expressed his disappointment with the decision and had also asked for a ban globally on the movie. This is clearly a sad time for the industry and the society at large where a movie has become the sole purpose of harassment and even a murder. This news has set a dangerous precedent and we really don’t know as to how things will move ahead from here on. We only hope for the safety of the people, the team of the movie and wish that the real culprits get nabbed soon.
The movie stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.
